iPad2 Prize Draw Terms and Conditions


By entering this prize draw entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the following terms and conditions (‘the Terms’):

1. The prize draw (‘the Draw’) will run until 31st May 2012 at 23.59.
2. The prize is an Apple iPad 2 (the "Prize") and will be awarded to one winner. The Prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
3. The prize draw is open to any Cheshire East Council, Council Tax Payer who registers for a Cheshire East Council online account. The Council Tax account must still be an open account at 23.59 on the 31st May 2012 to be eligible. In order to enter the prize draw the Council Tax Payer can sign up to our Citizen’s Account service at https://myaccount.cheshireeast.gov.uk/
4. Existing online customers need not reapply as they will automatically be included in the draw providing they are eligible.
5. Where a Council Tax Payer has more than one account they will only be eligible for one entry.
6. The winning entry will be drawn at random from all eligible entries and will be undertaken by an independent representative of Gandlake Ltd who have supplied the prize. Employees of Gandlake are not eligible to be entered into the draw.
7. The draw will take place by the 15th June 2012.
8. The winner will be notified by email before 30th June 2012.
9. The winner will receive their Prize by registered post sent to their address or a nominated UK address if their address is abroad. Return of any Prize by the Royal Mail may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternative winner.
10. Events may occur that render a prize draw or the awarding of the Prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of Cheshire East Council. The entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Cheshire East Council as a result thereof and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. Cheshire East Council is committed to protecting your privacy. Information will not be passed to third parties. Furthermore, the name and address of the winner will only be disclosed on the Cheshire East Council website with explicit consent by the winner.
12. Cheshire East Council reserves the right to cancel, amend or withdraw this Draw or the Terms without prior notice or compensation.
13. In the event of any dispute regarding the Terms, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Draw, Cheshire East Council's decision is final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
14. By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all the information submitted by you is true, current and complete. Cheshire East Council reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
15. As the Draw is open to those who are 18 years and over, Cheshire East Council assumes that by entering the Draw (you warrant that) you are the appropriate age to enter the Draw.
16. Cheshire East Council reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Terms.
17. Cheshire East Council cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Draw or as a result of accepting the Prize.
18. The Draw and Terms will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
