Ebay Toolbar

I got my blue star recently :j and received a congratulations e-mail from ebay:

The star next to your User Name has turned Blue. This has happened because you've achieved a Feedback rating of 50. With your Blue Star, you are now an established member of the eBay Community. Maybe you should visit the Community Boards and share your wisdom!

If you've earned your Blue Star through buying on eBay maybe it's time to try selling. Not only can you make some extra cash but it's a great way to get extra Feedback. Click here to learn more about selling!

Have you got the eBay Toolbar yet? It will keep an eye on your buying and helps to keep you safe with its Account Guard.

Download and print your Blue Star Certificate and display it proudly, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you don't have it, get it here. Congratulations on your success and keep shooting for the stars!

What I want to know is does anyone have this toolbar? Is it handy? Does it have any negatives?
:dance:One good turn gets most of the duvet!!

Comments

  • Depending on who you listen to, the toolbar is a) full of spyware b) brilliant.

Oddly enough, ebay tend to go for b.

I've never bothered to try it, I can do without more crap bogging down my computer.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

The ebay toolbar is a double edged sword. The toolbar bit is for internet explorer and is just another toolbar. It also comes with a handy applciation which runs in the background and does little popup windows when items you are watching are about to end etc. This is really handy (unless you use a sniping service of course). I don't use the toolbar (I have Firefox anyway) but the background application is really usefull.
