The C Drive...

... on my PC always opens up when I first start my computer up, any idea's of how to stop it or why it's happening?

Check there isn't a shortcut to it in the 'Startup' folder. I've come across people before who've managed to accidentally create one there through some bizarre accident and they could then never understand why it opened every time they booted.

This may sound dumb and silly but i am... how would i do that?

Go to the C: folder
Click Tools then Options
Click the view tab
Scroll down and make sure that the option "Restore previous folders at windows logon" is unchecked and that should do it.

Thankyou So much for that reply, but it was already unchecked...

Any other ideas... im really, really sorry about this!

Click Start>> (All) Programs >> Startup ..... see what icons you have here - right click and delete if you have "Windows Explorer"

You are closing Windows Explorer before you turn the PC off aren't you ??

what exactly is opening up -- Your C drive in "Windows Explorer" - file manager ---- where you can see files folders desktop drives etc >>

see Start >> (All) Programs >> Accessories >> Windows Explorer

The screen that opens up opens itself up when the computer starts, and its like when you click on the C drive yourself on the desktop. That window pops up.
