Hello, i have a small company
1 van, personal car and i am getting a new motorbike next week.
I am thinking to get a trader insurance but not sure if that will cover me for all of these.
I do auto electrics part time and domestic electrics also.
Any ideeas what i can do and how much i will be paying?
I am 24, no NCB And currently paying 1500car+2300van plus i got a quote for my new bike which is £1300
That is a lot for everything.
total (£5100) comprehensive cover
Thanks

Find a local broker and separate out your business stuff from private. I know the convenience of people like Tradex (who did a good enough job for me years ago) is tempting when your setting out, but it's better and often cheaper to have a local guy working on your behalf to make sure when you actually need it, you find yourself underinsured and coping with a crazy excess.0

You will not be insured whilst travelling to do domestic electric work with a private or traders policy. You cannot add non-motor trade business use to a traders policy but you can a private policy.0

There are a fair amount of Trader Insurers who will include personal business use eg Class 1 for another self employed or even employed occupation.
Personally I would avoid Tradex, nasty company0
