Can someone point me in the right direction where I can find out what the units used for the commodities on the futures markets are please.
What is the gold/silver etc. being sold in, is it ounces?
What are the live cattle? US cents per live-weight kilogram?
What the wheat price relates to?

many thanks

haha, hardly.....in my forties now.....just perusing the commodities to see the trends and thought that it would have been common sense to put a "units" column to help laymen understand.
Why is it a bad idea to invest in them?...or is it a leading question?0 -
yeah, it would be interesting to know what a barrel of oil looked like.
i once saw research that the average com investor lasted 6 months....
these markets were really intended for farmers/ food producers to hedge prices. i don't think they lend themself to investment, though obviously some would disagree.0
