We are coming to the end of our 5 year fixed 100£k
So will need a new deal and additional borrowing. What would be best, are most mortgages transferable to new property?0 -
Many mortgages are portable on moving house. What this means is that you have to meet the lending criteria for a new mortgage, but if you do meet it then you can port across the interest rate you have on your old product for the value of the outstanding mortgage.0

Rang up the house which went back on Rightmove on Friday.
Apparently they have declined an offer from one party and when I rang up this morning they were taking another offer from another party.
So it looks like very slim chances.0
