Hi - over the years I have definitely had PPI on loans / cards etc etc but I can't remotely remember who I had them all with - is there any way I can find out my credit history going back more than 6 years as I'm assuming it will have details of who I had borrowings from one there?

Use the Credit file for any you had in the past 6 years, it is possible some were finished in this period.
Check your DD list at the bank and see if they can find accounts.0
