Have done this trip via Yosemite, stayed in the lodge at the bottom of yosemite falls (amazing), it does get booked up way in advance but well worth it if you can get in.0

I'm from that area and if your in for nice breezy weather and a very long drive, YES! If not they have several round trip hops you can take check out Orbtiz or Google to see who will give you the best price. California's weather has changed drastically over the years; it really has to do with how old your party is, how much time and what is important to see. I would use my time in San Francisco and fly out to Vegas since they have more than Casinos and Gas can break you there. I'm having a Family Reunion in May (San Francisco Area) I look forward always to seeing something by searching for a new spot. Happy Travels no matter what you do!:T15lsp wrote:Hello!
Im going to Las Vegas in October but we are having problems getting flights direct from Manchester. Manchester is the only airport we want to fly from so we have decided to fly to San Francisco and spend a few days there then drive over 3 days (sight seeing along the way) to Las Vegas.
Has anyone done this? I just want to know what peoples experiences are and if you have any tips!
 Thanks Laura0

I rented a Harley in San Jose. Be warned, it's not cheap. Expect to pay about $120 per day plus surcharges for insurance waivers and mileage, etc. I only did it for a couple of days but it was well worth it.
Check out Eaglerider.com, they sometimes have one-way deals on if someone has done the opposite one way trip to you. What goes around - comes around0
