Should I cancel?

Bit of advise required, for the last two years I have used a 0% credit card to pay for my car insurance annually, it's the only time I've used them and have paid the balance off after about 7 or 8 weeks on both occasions. The first one (Tescos) the 0% period ended over a year ago and I've no intention of using it again, the second (Barclays) the 0% period ends next month so again I will not be using it. However with car ins due I have found another 0% card for 18 months(Nationwide), my question is this, should I cancel the Tescos & Barclays cards as I have no intention of ever using them (they are already cut up), is it better for my credit history to leave them on there or will three credit cards even with zero owing on them look bad, sorry for long winded question for which I'm sure there's a short answer, thanks.

  • The accounts will be inactive and on your credit files will be recieving "U" updates, for unused/inactive account, these are neither good or bad BUT the available credit could be viewed as bad.

If you never intend to use them at least cancel 1 of them
