Abbey mortgage with no details

My mother asked me to look in to this but I've no idea where to start right now...
Folks had a PPI on their mortgage several years ago and it has been paid off for a little while now. However after speaking to my mother, it appears that she has not kept any paperwork relating to to the account as everything was finished with and didn't think she'd need them.
Would it be possible to contact Santander to retrieve these Abbey account details so that a claim process could be initiated?
Many thanks

As many people do and nothing wrong with that at all.
MPPI is a standalone product (part of the reason why MPPI has far fewer complaints). So, it wouldnt appear on the mortgage documentation.Would it be possible to contact Santander to retrieve these Abbey account details so that a claim process could be initiated?

Hey, thanks for taking a peek.
Well the adverts had got her thinking...
Having spoken to her a bit more about the circumstances, I don't think they have much of a claim at all. It was more of the usual scare tactic/peace of mind persuasion of thier job security and having the cover just in case anything were to happen.
