Car Electrical Connector - I cant remove it? How?

Its a connector from an Aircon pressure sensor. The car aircon is external temperature intermittent which gives us an impression that the pressure is low, and pressure is falling with the cold temperature as the gas becomes a liquid. We want to fail the system into thinking it has enough pressure before taking it for a top-up incase its the compressor.

Any ideas how to remove the connector pictured?

(you may have tried this) but as far as i can see you squeeze together and i should come apart - could be its stuck and just needs freeing up - wiggle it about to free it up

Look at the bottom picture. The bit of plastic on the top left parallel to the wires is a "catch". Press and hold it down and pull the connector out.

Pressed it down, does not move. Also pressed it down, and added some force from underneath with a screwdriver in the gap.

I was thinking i need to slot something down the slot, i did try a small screwdriver but no movement. Was thinking sort of radio key size, or lollypop stick thing.

Will wait for more advice as i dont really want to break the connector off, nor the sensor.

OK,then-squeeze the connector in between finger and thumb so that the catch moves towards the wires as far as it possibly can.Then wiggle and pull.This should do the trick.

Looking at that picture, if i insert something down that hole to the lower section, i think it will pull the catch away. I imagine some form of tool goes into the slot, enabling you to apply a small amount of pressure releasing the pin.

A job for tomorrow now anyhow, as i have to remove a few bolts and manipulate some plastic to even get my hand into position. Wanted to ask for advice, that to rather bend/crack/break something in the process. It did not look that simple, as imagine it has to be fully waterproof as it sits in front of the radiator, in the air flow.

get the heat gun on it to make it more pliable and it should then be easy to push what looks like the clip in to release it without it snapping

I managed to get it off this morning, used the pointed screwdriver from the watchmaker screwdriver set. Slid it into the slot/hole which gave me leverage to unlock the plug. Then i had to push down to free it. It moved a little bit, then i had to use a flat screw driver in the gap twisting it to free it some more.

I shorted the plug with a paperclip and the aircon/ecomony lights illuminate on the console, so it eliminates the compressor. Now its either low system pressure/inoperative pressure sensor/system leak.
