Hi Guys
I found a holiday on Thomson's holidays going to Tunisia (yes i know there is problems there but friends just came back and said it was fabulous) for a week all inclusive. The price yesterday was 485 each and today it is now 565 each.
Do holiday prices online change according to what day it is? I deleted my browsing history and even tried a different computer but it still has a higher price. Its the difference for us of spending a grand or a grand and bit on a holiday which is a difference which matters to us and plus out of principle it feels cheeky!!

Supply and demand - the allocation priced at £485 has now been sold, and hence the price has increased.0

ahhhh i see!!! well nevermind I will just find something else but bit of a pain!!0

It's perfectly normal. Have you tried the High Street branches? AFAIK Thomas Cook can price match the internet for example0

I went to Tunisia last Easter and it was great, a bit windy but warm, and no sign of trouble anywhere.0

emmie, don't give up hope entirely. I am a serial checker of prices of holidays and they do go up and down. Check again in a few days and it may have changed.0

Also, delete all your cookies before you try again! It sometimes helps.Normal people worry me.0

Prices change based on supply and demand. Although I have heard it suggested (not proven, however nothing to say it isn't true) that package holiday companies inflate prices over the weekend, the theory being that more people sit and look for holidays.
So might be worth checking again midweek.0 -
British Airways are offering stupid prices to Tunisia (Tunis) at the moment ( £140 RTN inc luggage etc)via Gatwick). So it is quite possible to "self package" a better deal for a lot less than Thomsons.
Ive found https://www.Quickrooms.com have some great hotel prices too. Check against https://www.hotelscombined.com for comparison
ie
18/4 to 25/4 BA flights £140 Gatwick to Tunis https://www.BA.com
5 star El Mouradi Hammamet Resort £144 pp All Inclusive https://www.quickrooms.com
Shuttle transfer is £12.35 RTN pp with https://www.airporttransfers.co.uk
Total £296 pp
BTW you can fly via regional airports too (transit gatwick ) for not much more0 -

If you go AI in Tunisia then make sure it's a very good hotel. Tourist numbers are still down on the norm, and there's a lot of cost-cutting on AI. We've just had a few night AI at the Ramada Liberty in Skanes, and it was very poor considering the Ramada name.
It is cheaper to go B&B and eat out where you fancy.
We stayed in Hammamet, Sousse, Skanes and Tozeur, travelled everywhere on public transport, and apart from 6 nights AI we ate in local restaurants/cafes. There are no security problems in the tourist areas, and very little likely anywhere that the average tourist is likely to go.
However the weather during those 3 weeks was generally poor, wind, rain and chilly. The odd day was alright, but only between 1000-1500(ish), and even when the sun was out you couldn't really chance not having something warm to chuck on.
Basically, Tunisia isn't a winter sun destination, and you get what mother nature has in store.0 -

BA has been good value to Tunis from LGW for a long time. And they feed you (not a lot!), drinks are free, and you've got 23KG luggage allowance.
But be careful with AI. Make sure the hotel is good. There's nowt worse than boring repetitive food, lousy drinks, little atmosphere, and possibly being stuck outside a resort (eg Skanes) with limited transport options. Eating out is very cheap, and so B&B is well worth considering.0
