Try and hook as much hair as possible out of the plug then squeeze some hair removal cream (something like Imaac) down the plughole, leave it for half an hour or so then run hot water down it.

Whenever my bath starts to drain slowly I always squirt some cheapy hair remover down and it works a treat as it dissolves the hair.

We bought one of these from B&Q and it works a treat. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pressure-Buster-Toilet-Unblock-Plunger/dp/B004R1NV1I Clean, easy to use, works quickly and leaves no mess. Just fill the bath, sink or toilet with water; place the cup over the outlet; suck the plunger full of water then depress it quickly - job over.

  • Another one who recommends hair removal cream. You can get cheapy tube from Home Bargains for 99p which will do about 4/5 goes.
