Handing car back halfway through a finance agreement

Hi I have a query regarding handing my car back at the halfway point in my agreement.

What I want to know is can I still hand it back if it has had a accident? Basically my wife was driving the car last year and was involved in a minor accident but I did have to have the rear nearside quarter panel replaced and it was an insurance claim. Will the finance company still accept the car if it has had an insurance claim against it?

Thanks,

Pete.

Makes no odds if the car wasn't written off. I handed a car back after it was repaired. Handing it back actually meant driving it to the car auctions and leaving the keys with them.
  • Please take into account that any damage that is deemed to be outside the scope of "fair wear and tear" can be charged back to you. Accident damage is likely to fall into this category depending on the severity. Might be worth a look at your T&C's
