Multiple saving accounts with Bank of Scotland

I want to try the multiple saving accounts for Christmas, holidays etc. Can anyone who does this with BofS please tell me what type of accounts they opened? Looking through the site PDF it seems as if the Access Saver is the one to go for as it doesn't automatically send out a card and doesn't say you can only have one.

Is there another way to do it?

2% is not a great rate, have you looked around at other providers?

If you particularly want BOS accounts, you could get one of the Internet savers paying 2.8%, use it for the account you will put most into, and open additional 2% ones.

But do you really need multiple accounts? Why not just keep all your savings in one account?

I use multiple accounts with Halifax. So I assume the BoS setup us the same.

But one account and a spreadsheet could do the job equally well.

I have recently moved all of my banking to the Bank of Scotland. In addition to my main bank account I also have three Access Saver Accounts. Whilst 2% is not the best rate out there, I decided to stay within the BoS purely for ease of moving money, accounting, etc.

I am perfectly happy with the accounts and I have never had any problems having the three accounts. I use them mainly as "pots" to seperate my monthly income into Bills, Petrol/Travel, and Food Shopping etc.

They do have an internet saver which pays a bit more interest, but for ease of access I have the Access Account as you can request a card.
