S&S ISA for shares and funds/trusts

Afternoon folks,
Hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction with minimun effort for them.
I'm looking to open a S&S ISA and start making the most of my full allowance (at the moment only using a cash ISA). Really I'm looking for the best ISA for a mix of both Shares and funds etc.
Or would I be better off opening one for Shares now and the other for funds april 6th? Basically the plan is to invest this years £5340 allowance into 4 companies shares with £800 ish left over. And starting next year to look more towards the funds/trusts/OEICs etc with the odd share here and there.
HL initially appealed but they appear to charge a 0.5% AMC for shares held in an ISA which seems a little out.
So what would be best? Find somewhere good for both, or open two ISAs?
Ta very muchly

You could have a look at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3153942
Or you could go for a shares sort of broker and use IT's and ETF's rather than UT's and OEIC's0 -
I strongly recommend that you use the same ISA for all your investing. The reason is that if you want to move money between shares and funds or other investments it becomes a hassle if you can only do this by an ISA transfer.0

Thanks folks - So really it looks like a selftrade S&S ISA is the way to go for me!
Will check through the forum because I'm sure I saw something somewhere about problems!
