PPI claim via NRAM

Hi,
I recently received a letter from NRAM (Northern Rock Asset Mangement) regarding a loan i took out some time ago.
They said i was entitled to claim my PPI back.
I completed the form and sent it back.
I have now received a letter saying i am entitled to a sum of money.
Can anyone tell me if all this is a legitimate thing or is someone trying to con me?
Thanks

The banks are meant to be pro-actively finding customers that may have had PPI mis-sold and several people have had this letter.

No. NRAM are being pro-active (probably using taxpayers money to pump money into the economy).
