Portfolio Tools - Rebalancing

Hi all,
I used to use Morningstar's x-ray tool to ensure I had a good balance across investments and I am currently reviewing my portfolio as I am considering moving in previous years ISA's from cash to my existing S&S ISA. I see you now have to sign up for their premium service to access this (although you do get a free 14 day trial). Does anyone have any other tools which are free to do this?
Thanks.

Does your broker provide anything. Fidelity seems to connect to the morningstar site when doing an analysis - I'm not familiar with the morningstar tool but it gives quite a detailed breakdown including overlapping holdings.
HL and Best also have some views onto the entire holding, but those don't seem to go down to the same level of detail.0 -

I'm with HL and they do have a scanner, but nothing as detailed as morningstar. Will have a look around, thanks.0 -
I am with Fidelity and they have a very good tool imho for this sort of thing - although I don't know how it compares with the Morningstar tool you talk about as I have never used it.
What sort of *"balance" are you pursuing? Equally spread investments or something specific?

Thanks for the response. When I say 'balance' the morningstar tool enables you to enter your funds & their % of the total portfolio. You can then drill down into the specifics, ie I don't want to hold too much of any one specific company, therefore highlighting any overlaps / similarities in funds or I want some exposure in China, but I don't want it to be too heavy. HL does have a scanner, but it is only very basic and doesn't always pick up on certain aspects I have found.0
