£15,000 to save

Dear all. I have unexpectedly come into £15000 to save. I won't need it for about 6 months but will then need to be able to access it. I'm very unaccustomed to having any more than I need for day to day living, let alone saving, and have read Martin's article on savings but that seems mainly to be about putting so much into an account each month.
Can anyone advise me the best way to put this money somewhere safe and hopefully getting the best return possible.
Thank you

If you are happy with a short notice period on your Cash ISA you could look at the Aldermore 60 Day Notice Cash ISA @ 3.15%
For an instant access account it could be worth looking at Santander eSaver issue 4 at 3.10%. No notice and interest is payable monthlyI am an IFA (and boss o' t'swings idst)You should note that this site doesn't check my status as an IFA, so you need to take my word for it. Why would recommend the post office account when there are others offering more? Note that on that comparison site, the "promoted" results come before the "best" results !0 -

I like the fact that the PO account (unlike the Nationwide) does not have limited withdrawal stipulation.
I missed the details of the Skipton offering at 3.05.0
