Has anyone else been having problems with Halifax Visa? For 2 weeks I've been getting intermittent 'Transaction Not Authorised' when trying to use my card in stores and online. The card is a month or so old, credit limit fine and I always pay it off in full every month.
When I phone their call centre I've been told that they've been having problems authorising payments.
Anyone else had any probs?
Cheers
Jeff

It is odd that you have a Halifax Visa card that is only a month or so old as they moved all their Visa cards to Mastercard at the end of last year. Maybe they have problems with the Visa connection.0

Can't answer that but it was issued for renewal at the start of the year and it's a Visa. I use the GE Money for mastercard due to the cashback on food / petrol but was wanting a Visa (cashback) for non-food purchases. Pay both off in full each month, purely have them for the cashback

There is some information about the changeover here:

When I phoned up earlier today to ask about the latest refusals, they did mention that the systems were all going through an 'upgrade' and apologised for the inconvenience etc.
Still a bit annoyed and feeling edgy when I try to use the Visa these days.
Cheers
