RAS, you last two days sounds a day out for me. Saturday ended up warm, sunny (the three horses with rugs on had them off) and Sunday they got them off only for a couple of hours in the afternoon, the most took ages to lift. Today was just grim from start to finish, but no mist, persistant drizzling rain.
I lit the woodburner to keep my comfy while I did housework now that I am feeling better, but instead it's made me soporific.
Alfie, after talking a long time I think we are going to use our huge crate for the tiny terrier. I suspect he might be crates a bit (particularly overnight when he goes in with the big dogs, for his own protection!) so I don't feel so odd putting him in such a huge crate. He can have a box in there for a smaller, cozy area.
The rain is really slowing things down now. Things like window painting should have started last week and could not, now this week looks out too.. I will suggest tomorrrow they put loose bits like guttering and weather birds in a barn and do them there, but it's a pain for them.
There is another concrete pour on thursday (we decided to press ahead and just get the darn utility done too so that end is all done) but apparently the rain is not such a problem for that.
I think between Alfie and my mother we are all set for temp curtains now. I happen to think the paint dh wants for his study looks like the colours of a 1980s minty fresh bathroom, but that can be redone later if I cannot make it work, it does not stress me too much at all.
Alfie...I would keep the rug off as long as possible. Out of ours here three are wearing them, the shivers in less than carribean conditions tb, the ancient old girl and special girl (who resents me putting rugs on others and not her). If old girl were not wearing hers I would have made special girl tough it out a bit longer.0 -

Choille is up to date I think, but pls let me know if I've got any figures wrong.0 -
Can't get my head around this Ebay stuff. I really need to put the van on there soon, but I'm worried about all the 'interesting' people I may meet if I do, and I don't want to be messed around by tyre kickers, as people are always claiming they are.
.....And I like the van. It's so useful.....Well, sometimes!
Did anyone notice, Chulmleigh was No3 in the charts this year?

Last year Winkleigh (nearby) was No1. This year they didn't even feature. Can't think why, because the pie shop's still there!0 -

I passed this place today, where I had to dodge a couple of kamikaze bantams. It's a farm where I played as a child, and I swear nothing's changed:

It's the quintessential Devon farm of yesteryear. So glad it's survived, apparently intact.0 -

Unlike this, which http://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/18314689
Which has IMO been wrecked.
EDIT will take both links out in a few days.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
strange mix of furnishings IMO... very bland yet clashing...
i like a bit of a "living" feel. LIR's lounge [which she will say is gonna change..;) ] is SOOOOO cosy and relaxing and the big pic on the wall sets it off ...;)her new kitchen-to-be is enhancing the feel/original room that it was...
why do people want to "straighten" out all the creases of an old house...i personally just dont get it....:o0
