help with acer laptop

i have a acer travelmate 244lc laptop
on the hard disk drives i have
acer(C) total size 18.1 gb
acerdata(D) total size 9.75 gb
now on the D drive i have a folder titled images
inside that folder is 2 files
1 titled 60E49V02.002 which is a 002 file
the other is titled 60E49V02.ACR which is a acr file
does anyone know what these files are

    These sound like the restore image files in case your laptop goes belly up.

    I expect you have a floppy disk or something used to restore the laptop to its original state. These are the files it will use to reinstall windows etc.

    indeed these are Acer backup image files

    the Acer eRecovery tool uses these to store factory and user images
