Blackhorse ppi

Hi all

I have a question for you to answer.

I have started a claim for ppi on a car loan that was mis sold in 2002 as they said it was needed to get the credit and was front loaded. I have had the basic reply saying they won't uphold it and seems a general letter with a lot of jargon. They also say about not being regulated until jan 2005 but I am still going to persue this with letters until they give in.

Now my question. If I can't get a successful claim through blackhorse I could go down the insurer route as these were regulated. If I went down this route and was successful would I get back the interest that I paid on this ppi which blackhorse charged plus redress or would it be just the ppi amount plus redress. The reason I ask this is that the apr was high about 28%. Any info on this would be great.

Also who has been successful with blackhorse on a loan pre 2005?

Thanks

Lewis

You send the mis sell claim to the dealer that sold you the car, Blackhorse only lent you the money, you may need to go for the insurer, if they come back with a no, then FOS may be able to help.

It is no good badgering Blackhorse, you will get nowhere and are wasting time.

If you win redress, the interest on the ppi is put on over the term and is in the monthly payment, so you get the ppi back plus 8%.
  • The dealer is no longer there. Also what I asked is if I claimed directly from the insurer then would I get the the apr that was charged on top of the front loaded ppi plus redress?
  • Also as the dealer is acting on behalf of blackhorse does this not still mean blackhorse are responsible as well as this has been mis sold. This was front loaded on blackhorses loan so they are aware of the ppi on it. I didnt fill in a needs and circumstances questionnaire as well.

Front loaded ppi interest is in the monthly ppi payment, if you win redress, you get the ppi you have paid and 8% interest.
You will need to send the complaint to the insurer, if they say no then FOS can help you.

Just had Dejavu, i have repeated myself!.
