Lost shares?

Hi,

About 10 years ago I bought a handful of shares in a company, but my life went a bit upside down, lost track of them, have moved at least 10 times since and just suddenly remembered them.:eek:

I bought them online with a company that I don't remember the name of, have lost all docs and have now just found out they were bought out 3 years ago by some big american firm for twice the price per share that I paid...:T

What I want to know is how can I track them down?

Can anyone help?

I wonder... just thinking outside the box, do you still have a bank statement from ten years ago. Bit of long shot but still?

If you post the company name someone might be able to help point you in the right direction.

Can you remember if you had a paper share certificate, or were the shares held in a nominee account by a stockbroker?
