Lost shares?

Hi,

About 10 years ago I bought a handful of shares in a company, but my life went a bit upside down, lost track of them, have moved at least 10 times since and just suddenly remembered them.

I bought them online with a company that I don't remember the name of, have lost all docs and have now just found out they were bought out 3 years ago by some big american firm for twice the price per share that I paid...:T

What I want to know is how can I track them down?

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I wonder... just thinking outside the box, do you still have a bank statement from ten years ago. Bit of long shot but still? :(
  • If you post the company name someone might be able to help point you in the right direction.

Can you remember if you had a paper share certificate, or were the shares held in a nominee account by a stockbroker?
