Can I claim - Northern Rock PPI

First of all I'm sorry if this has already been covered.

I took out a mortgage with Northern Rock and with the mortgage offer came a credit card with a very low interest rate. We obtained the mortgage through an independant financial adviser and we never directly spoke to Northern Rock however the adviser never mentioned any PPI. We went merrily along for a couple years paying the PPI but then I realised how expensive it was and cancelled the policy. During the course of having this credit card we changed our mortgage provider and also the Northern Rock credit card became Co-operative Bank.

My questions are:
1) Do I have a claim, as PPI on the credit card was never mentioned.
2) Who do I claim from??
3) Because Northern Rock have been taken over, would it be easier to use one of the PPI claim companies.

Thanks

Midimob

You havent really given any provable grounds for complaint. It smells opportunistic try-it-on. (e.g. you paid it for years yet you say you didnt know you had it. Plus, no-one sold it to you). Not saying it is but just what it looks like.

    Northern Rock.

No. That would be silly and just compounding your problems.
