divorce and ppi

anyone help me! i divorced 5 years ago. finances were settled at the time. my ex husband has now approached me about claiming ppi on policies we had. happy to do this but some were in my name some in his. a lot attached to his failed business which i supported financially. does anyone know if i have a legal claim on the stuff in his name before he pockets the lot. seems a bit unfair he will walk away with thousands. we're in scotland, i know that can make a differnce sometimes

If they (the ones he wants to claim on ) are in his name, i dont understand why he has contacted you at all,
why didnt he just go ahead with them himself.

I think you would only get something from him out of goodwill.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

You can claim the ones in your name,so you will get something back,if there are any in joint names you both share.

You would not be able to get anything back for any loans you contributed to if they were in his name, unless as McKneff says "only good will".
  • Are you on speaking terms? Why not agree to split them all, yours, his and the joint ones?
