I recently used to two tubs of B&Q paint for £25, not sure if its the same? But it wasnt watery and went on fine. Used the light rain one.
  • We bough the massive tub that you describe as we're painting a lot of rooms and thought it would be good for the ceilings. It goes on fine, isn't too watery, but then it has been painted on textured ceilings so may not show any problems as much as a wall might.

I used it when I wanted white to cover walls and to paint my hallway, stairway and passage white as it would need loads of paint (5litres doesn't do it lol).It was awful,I have to say!Took many many coats. It was so thin you couldn't help but have walls covered in incredibly obvious brush strokes, foam roller marks and rather translucent.

So,it's not something I recommend unless your happy doing several coats

I havent used B&Q but I used Homebase value magnolia to paint a couple of walls in the spare bedroom. It was ok but you can really tell the difference between the value paint and the Dulux I used in my living room. Dulux has a finer finish and does not show the roller texture.
