I'm about to burst!!!!

Usually a lurker but today felt the need to post.

We have officially exchanged contracts on our first official "owned" property this morning!!!!! I am sooooo bloomin pleased as i thought this day would never come.

Years of saving for a deposit, busting my gut on 1 full time & 2 spare jobs and lots of sacrifices along the way.

Initally started to look in Oct 11, picked a house, struggled to get a mortgage (paperwork issues) and then the buyers pulled out on us on 4 Jan this year  but then lady luck came along and we found this house.

6 weeks ago an offer was made, accepted and we get the keys on Monday.

good luck to all others who are in a similar position, your day will come and when it does, it feels lush :D

Happy Springtime people :T
But I want a golden goose daddy and I want it right NOW!!!!!

Yes Verucca dear. :rotfl:

Congratulations. Glad it all worked out for you
  • Many congratulations!! I know exactly how you feel. We moved in to our brand new home just last weekend! Its great to be in one's own house!
  • Hoping this is us soon :) Our mortgage is through but we're waiting on searches. Solicitor said they haven't arrived yet but there's something in the post for us, I'm assuming this is the contract as that was supposed to arrive with them from Vendor's solicitor on Tuesday.

I'm so impatient! it doesn't help that I'm currently travelling an hour each way to work on public transport and know that whilst I'm sat at my desk my new place is only 10 minutes away.

  • Congratulations. It's nice to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel after all your hardwork saving.
I'm hoping we'll be at exchanging/completing soon but it's taking forever (in reality it's we only sold our place and offered on another in Dec). We're at final enquiries stages but we just want a date!!!!
  • Congratulations, hope you are very happy in your new home......and hope that everyone else waiting to exchange/complete doesn't have to wait too much longer :)

I can't believe that it's nearly a year since we put our old house up for sale and that we've been in our new home for 9 months today :D............where has that time gone?
