Worried about Tax Credits in April.

Hoping someone can advise.

This Year 2011/12 we have a joint income of £19,000 with one child, with childcare costs of £36.00 a week.

Our estimated income for 2012/13 is £31,000 as my husband started a new job so last years was only a few months wage (if that makes sense). He works full time and i work 16 hours a week.

Will we still be entitled and by what amount??

Thank you and hope someone can advise.

Gemma

Yes you will be entitled in 2012/13 because there is a £10k disregard for income increases, so you'll be treated as if your income was £21k not £31k next year. You should get about £62pw. Tell then your estimated income though, otherwise you'll be overpaid.

On the above figures it would stop in April 2013 though.
