Hi,
I have logged into my paypal account yesterday and today and all is fine there - I was paying for some ebay stuff.
After both times, shortly after I received an email - a paypal spoof mail telling me I had paid for a dell computer $699 - an obvious spoof and nothing wrong or untoward in my paypal account.
Is it a coincidence or not?
I have been on adaware and made sure I have deleted tracking cookies etc.
Is there anything else I need to do?
Thanks

i think it's just a coincidence, any hacker worth his stuff is after your logon details to set up his own dodgy deals rather than trying to scam youEx forum ambassador

Browntoa, I'm interested too. Let us know if there are any suspect lines. How you understand all these inputs is beyond me.
Best regards

I look initially at the running processes at the top, most are easily identified by the location, ie HP etc and I know all those ones at the top in the system32 directory
I'm then looking in the ones beginning with R1 to see if internet explorer is being misdirected elsewhere, then the ones beginning 016 to see what is allowed access to download stuff at ANY time...rest is just experience of what looks wrongEx forum ambassador
