Not a bank - Going round in info circles...

Hello

I am trying to find out whether I can make a claim against a Direct Line Mortgage ppi as was told I had to take it but can't seem to find info other than main banks. Can you claim against other lenders? Is it still the same process?
I am getting very confuzzed by all the information but I definitely think I have a claim if it is possible.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

:)

    Hi and welcome
Whoever set up and sold you the policy/mortgage with the PPI are the ones you pursue.

The account number should be enclosed on banking statements, next to the monthly repayment, but if you do not have these, call into your local branch where you paid the mortgage payments and they may check out the details for you, addresses as well......hopefully.

Is the same process to complain - as being sold loan ppi etc.

Hope this helps and the best of luck.

Direct Line claims need to be made through RBS/Natwest PPI Claims Centre in Manchester as they own Direct Line. You can ring them or fill out the Financial Ombudsman Service complaint form. You'll find the RBS PPI address details under the A to Z of bank addresses.

    Good luck!

Remember that verbal allegations are easy rejections. Do you have any provable grounds for complaint?
