Homebase Wallpaper

I bought some Homebase wallpaper for a feature wall last february. Only 6 months after bring on the wall I noticed parts of it were damaged like it had worn away in places so the wall can be seen.
I complained by letter to Homebase but I had thrown the receipt away as it had been up 6 months. They asked me to get a bank statement showing the transaction which I provided so they asked me to send it samples of the paper. Luckily I still had nearly a full roll so sent some in. They ended up losing it and they has 3 seperate samples from me.
They are now saying they are unable to test the paper at the manufacturer bacause I do not have the batch number of the wallpaper and they cannot prove they are the same but they will give me a refund in homebase vouchers. The paper is still on sale and can be seen on the website so it is obviously the same paper.
I am going to have to completely reecorate the room but Homebase are not taking the matter any further.
Can anyone advise what I can do next?

I think Homebase are suggesting that it may only be one batch of this particular wallpaper that may be faulty, and as they have no batch number it makes isolation of the problem difficult. They are now saying they are unable to test the paper at the manufacturer bacause I do not have the batch number of the wallpaper and they cannot prove they are the same but they will give me a refund in homebase vouchers. they've offered vouchers, what exactly are you looking for? what exactly should they do?0

I was thinking they should pay for the labour of having the damaged wallpaper removed and new put up. Does this seem reasonable?0

well, no, because there is no proof that the process you went through putting the paper up wasn't responsible for the issue you now have. They cannot prove and neither can you, the offer of vouchers is a goodwill solution - I can't see any basis for the supplier to remove and replace the paper.0

The first sample I sent them, that they conveniently lost, had damage after the same time period which had not been put up on the wall but as they refuse to test the other samples I cannot prove they are at fault.0
