ItaliaLiving sofas

Hi,

I have recently been to Bentalls in Kingston to look at sofas. One brand "ItaliaLiving" drew my attention. They seem comfy and stylish, but really expensive (a 3-seater chaise sofa is over £3K with their current 25% sale).

Not sure yet whether I really want to spend this much on a sofa, but 2 things worried me. First, I have never heard of this brand and can find very little info about them (just that they seem to be based in Southern Italy). And the second is that one of the sofas in the showroom had a a broken frame with bits of broken chipboard(!) visible if one looks underneath!

Anyway, what I wonder is whether anybody ever heard of ItaliaLiving furniture or, even better, experienced it first hand? Also, is it expected to have a chipboard in any part of the frame of such expensive sofas (it seems to have chipboard in some parts of a frame, not the whole)?

Thanks
Konstantin

  • Never heard of italialiving, so would be put off.

After 6 months of researching italian leather sofas, I ended up buying from here.

    http://www.denelli.co.uk/

I got a 3 seater and 2 seater in top grade leather for £1700.
    Do a google for reviews.

Hardwood frames throughout, pocket sprung bases, choice of leathers etc.
No sales staff or massive showrooms to bump up the price.

Worth the trip up to Milton Keynes to save quite a bit of money.
  • Thanks, Ionkontrol. This looks very interesting
