Hi Guys, I'm trying to look at thumbnail pictures of some photos on a cd using Windows Live photo gallery, it did it the other day with the same cd, but now its coming up with:-
An error is preventing the photo or video being displayed.
Error code 0x80010108
Its weird because if I click on 'View pictures using Windows Live Photo Gallery' I get the error message above and can't see them, but if I go to computer - browse discs and drives - then click on the drive, it comes up with the pictures in a list. If I then click on a picture, it shows it me using Windows Live Photo Gallery.
Its annoying to have to click each photo up seperately.
I thought it might be a problem with that particular cd, but I tried another and that one comes up withthe same error.
Does anyone know what is going on please?
TIA
I should add perhaps that I have Windows 7 operating system.

This is the textbook way to import from a CD, follow them exactly, oddly it's the way you say it works, lol :-)
- Make sure that the disc is inserted into your computer's CD or DVD drive.
- Open Windows Live Photo Gallery by clicking theStart button. In the search box, type Photo Gallery, and then, in the list of results, clickWindows Live Photo Gallery.
- Click theHome tab, and then click Import photos.
- In theImport Photos and Videos dialog box, click the device that you want to use, and then clickImport. If you're importing from a CD or DVD, select the CD or DVD drive.
- ClickImport.
- ClickMore options to select the options that you want to use, such as where to save the files and what format to use for the folder and file names.
- Select eitherReview, organize and group items to import or Import all new items now.
- For all of the late comers to this thread microsoft released the codec pack that fixes this issue it is included at the download center here,
Download codec pack or redownload the new version of essentials with it already include,
