there are times when you are so low and in need of money that sadly all logic goes out the window
Equally sadly, that is exactly what they are exploiting.
This forum can't do anything about them, all we can do is educate people, sometimes before they continue, but sadly, mostly after they have been scammed already.

For the wider audience, your post will come up on Google searches for people looking for this type of loan so you will help prevent others from making the same mistakes you did. Scant consolation for you, but your post is helping to highlight the scams to others.

You need to look at other options as Tixy has suggested, there is always a better way out.

    Good luck :)

I know I have been stupid and I was just looking to see if anyone had dealt with them. I do feel that the responses I have had are uncalled for I thought this was a friendly site for people looking for advice.

It is but you need some thick skin,

Has no one been in such a state with money that they do stupid things???

Ive done stupid things but not regards to loans but then im not in that position where my salary is less than my outgoings

I have managed to get most of money back and it was just that these people contacted me and was just looking for advice before I did anything.

Yes dont give any money to anyone who promises to get you a loan.

But I do feel some people on are just being rude instead of being helpful

Just a few things, follow tixys advice
  • I recently was contacted by this company PLFinder, it appears that someone has entered bogus information into one of their websites as they were trying to contact another name to my own. I have never used such a service, I never will! However I thought it might be useful for anyone experiencing problems with this company or companies alike.

Firstly it would be advisable to register with TPS, Telephone Preference service, after 28 days this should stop most unwanted calls. If after 28 days of registration and you are still receiving calls/texts you can contact the relevant company to state you are registered with TPS and to add you to the DO NOT CALL LIST, if contact still occurs keep records of the time these contacts have been made and associated numbers called from, write a letter to the company head office (details can usually be found via 192.com or companies house business finder) stating do not wish to be contacted. If this is does not resolve the issue you can then make an official complaint of breach of DPA or unsolicited calls by calling ICO (information commissioners office), google ICO.

ICO will make direct contact with the relevant company and the company can be liable for a fine should they not comply.

Also thought it might be useful for anyone wishing to contact PLFinder, (company trading name Frontier Finance Ltd, Chapel Road, Oldham, Lancashire, OL8 4QQ) 0161 622 0063, 0161 622 0022.

    TPS registration line: 0845 070 0707

Finally just a personal view regarding debt as I noticed from the string of posts this has been mentioned upon...

    1. Never use a broker.
    2. Never pay a charge for the service. Loans are calculated based on % fee of the amount borrowed.
    3. Never give your card details to a company you have not validated, company name, address, telephone.
    4. Google the company name with review on the end i.e. plfinder review, read other peoples experiences.
    5. If the debt is severe look at IVA, if it is not simply live within your means, less outgoing than incoming, and most importantly as a wise man once send, save for a rainy day.
