Anyone come off Economy 7 with npower
Options
Hi, ive been working out our gas and elec now weve got a years figures under our belts. On npower Go Fix 8
Ive niavely been thinking economy 7 started at 7pm and waiting til then to do our washing, dishwater etc.
Our house is gas heated and water.
Ive worked out our annual gas as about 13822kwh
The electric is about 2601kwh day and 560kwh night so 21% night
So 3161kwh total.
Ive been on Uswitch and they say on E7 my bill is £1034
I could get Scot power fix for £957
I also put in non E7. On Go Fix 8 that drops to potential bill of £970!!!!!
It would also drop to £923 transferring to the Go Fix 11.
So it looks like I need to get off E7.
Will npower allow me to do this? and if not should i then say well Ill move to Scottish power as they are cheaper on E7 tariff?
thanks for advice in advance

Most companies including Npower will allow the 2 meter registers to be added together and billed at the standard rate. You have to ring through the meter readings rather than enter them online so it may disqualify you from the tariffs that require you to enter the meter readings online. Have you compared the gas and electric seperately. Sometimes it is cheaper to go with Scottish Power for the electric and stay with Npower for the gas.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Yes, anyone will allow you to change, but they may charge you for the meter change if you want one-usually around £50. Use the threat of leaving if they do that.
E7 typically needs you to use 30% on cheap night rate to make it pay, it's more suited to houses with night storage heaters, not gas CH and DHW.
E7 means that you get 7 hours at cheap rate-not that it starts at 7pm!No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks for that, yea I realised my mistakes with E7 timings,
I noticed this morning that since 9pm last night to 5:30am that my night rate is still the same yet day rate went up by 2 units and was on day rate at both times. Surely at 5:30am it should have been night rate?0 -
Normally it's between midnight and 8am, depends on region. Not if the switch is an hour out, it would then think the time is 6.30am.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Just been on to npower updating my readings as I think the meter man has given inflated readings in December.
The guy says my bill from last feb to this was £590 and would of been £550 on a standard meter.
Offered to book me in to get a meter change and said it would be free. Said I would ring back if I want to go ahead0 -
Then a good result, go ahead. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
