iPad2 - emails

My iPad isn't sending all my emails. I replied to an important email this morning but found out a couple of hours ago that it was never received. It isn't in my "sent" box, recently deleted box or anywhere else on the iPad or on my laptop. It has just vanished!

My DIL remarked on Monday she wasn't getting all her emails on her iPad and was I having any problems. Think she put the jinx on mine!

Has anyone else had similar problems or can advise me please? Many thanks. :)

    what email provider are you using?

    im sending and recieving emails using gmail on my ipad fine

    This particular one was AOL. I also use Hotmail as does DIL.

    i'd try and delete the mail settings from the ipad, then try putting them in again and see if it makes a difference
  • Lara,go to,top left Mailboxes,click on it,All your inboxes,Plus all your accounts will come up,just have a look around your accounts to see if you can find your sent email,hope this helps.:idea::idea:

    I did all this straight away but without success. It seems this one particular email address is the main one I am having problems with non stop. I'm writing this on my laptop as when I try to sign in on here it tells me the wrong password is being used. I come on here, use same password, and I'm in. Very strange. Think I'll give JL a call tomorrow as it was there we purchased it from. Problem is I can't remember all that I said in the email and how I worded it. So annoying - perhaps I should have got a new laptop instead! :think:
  • just make appointment at your local apple store genius bar, they are really are the best. Apple support is second to none!!

    Many thanks. Nearest one is about 40 mins away and I'd rather speak to someone in person and go through it than over the phone - just to make sure it is working okay - so thanks for your suggestion! :T
