Hi Everyone,
I'm hoping to get a long-deserved mini break in April with my OH ( no kids :j ) Looking at the hotels available I can't really distinguish between them-I would like a good level of comfort ( and cleanliness ! ) And I would like to be within walking distance to all the tourist spots !
If anyone has any advice on places to stay, eat and see I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks in advance :T

Hi Looby
i am off to paris at the weekend, the hotel i am staying in is right next door to the Eiffel Tower, i dont think its central but i have been told that you are walking distance from most places in Paris plus there is the Metro.
have a look at the Tripadvisor forums on paris, this is where i got my hotel im staying from by the commnets that were left on here

I travel often to Paris on business, so here is a list of places I have stayed at
Marriot Rive Gauche - This is close to Denfert Rochereu RER. This use to be a Sofitel and is currently being renovated to Mariott standards. There are some restaurants nearby, many more near the RER (5-10 mins walk from hotel). Cost about €145 per night. Breakfast is expensive €25
Villa Pantheon - Near Sorbonne, closest RER is St Michel (5-10 mins). Easy walking distance to Latin Quater. Large beds, barman is called Tiago, great guy. Costs about €150, breakfast I think is €18.
Sofitel Bercy, near Cours St Emillion, a trendy area with many restaurants and bars. Hotel is also trendy and nicely decorated with good rooms. About 5 mins from Cours St Emillion metro. Price is about €150-190.
There are also a couple right near the Pantheon, called Hotel Du Grande Homme, and I think Hotel Panetheon ( they are next door to each other). Not quite as good as the others. Nearest RER is Luxemborg, about 10 mins walk.
Meridein Montparnasse - Large rooms, modern design, close to Montparnasse RER/Metro. I think about €170, don't know price of breakfast.
Since the RER and Metro are so easy to use, I would not limit to hotels just near the tourist spots.
