Dry wall adhesive alternative?

I've got a piece of plaster board approx 70cm x 40cm to fix (can't screw in) is there anything else I can use to fix this, without having to buy a big bag of dry wall adhesive?
Many thanks,
Murph

Are you fixing it to anything?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Personally I'd use this (as I have a load of it around and IME it sticks most things pretty well, providing you can wedge it in place while it sets) -

This stuff sounds possibly more suitable although I've not used it-

Probably the best stuff to use is something like this (particularly if you need it to remain unsupported while it dries.)-

You've about a quarter of an 8 x 4 sheet so you'll need about a quarter of a bag of the proper stuff. You are fixing it to brick/blockwork I suppose?
Silicone - nah - sorry but I couldn't agree or recommend that for one solitary microsecond - its a sealant not an adhesive although it can be used to stick small objects in place. The PB isn't supposed to move - silicone will allow it to.
Sticks like s..t???? You'll be needing a couple or three tubes of that and the price of the stuff  might just as well buy the correct product for around £8.00

We use adhesive foam now. It is like expanding foam but does not expand. Comes in a can
"Insta Stik" will grip a board in a minute and hold it within 5 minutes and you can plaster in about an hour. Another commonly available one is "SiroFlex SX", but the cure time is a bit longer0 -
