Eon direct debit frustration

Hi Duckula,
because we have to give the bank 10 working days to get the payment changed.
Clearly a next day change can't be done so the request was academic.
I stand to be corrected but I don't believe the banking system requires 10 working days notice to cancel a collection. I believe you are confusing this with the 10 working days notice a customer is entitled to receive for a change of amount or date.
Please clarify if this is actually an E.ON billing system issue not a banking system issue.0 -
I've just been on the phone with someone from the Eon complaints line and they say they'll reduce my DD to £150 in April. They can't change it for the DD coming out tomorrow for some reason. Is this right, it hasn't come out yet I can't see why it couldn't be changed?
They suggested I could cancel the DD if I didn't want the money to come out...
The person on the line couldn't offer me an explanation for why my DD wasn't adjusted back in October instead of January. Eon reps? Anyone?
Hi Duckula
To be honest, not sure without looking at your account but suspect the Direct Debit wasn't reviewed until the next scheduled bill.
Sorry can't be more specific Duckula. Drop an email to the address in my Profile if you would like me to take a look in more detail. Will be happy to do so.
