I'm guessing due to the costs of sourcing and storing such items their prices are relatively expensive. Do you find Insurers will normally agree to replace say a sink from this company?

They aren't that bad compared to what you'd think. Like everything, its mainly weighing up the cost of finding one compared to just replacing it with a cheap white suite. Its more a tool of negotiation that anything else, as you can demonstrate to the policy holder that when they say its not available its not entirely correct.
  • Many thank for all the advice, going to investigate getting it repaired or just getting a new sink from one of the sites mentioned. Did a dummy run of an insurance policy with the claim, and it would take my £50 policy and put it into the hundreds, so not worth claiming i think!
