TV Rental woes

Sorting out my Dads affairs at the moment and have calculated that a rental agreement he took out for an 18" tv has cost him in the region of £2700 over the last 10 or so years
He didn't know how to contact the company he rented it from so just kept on paying month after month year after year. Licence[STRIKE]d theft[/STRIKE] to print money really
No idea how long the TV has been landfill either .....
