Thats a very poor build for the money to be honest.

I've excluded miscellaneous components such as DVD-drive, etc

I think for a very fast system with the latest i7 CPU it's a decent price.

Everything subject to opinion of course.
  • To be honest im getting upgrade on Mobo, CPU & Ram after 4 years on 1366 socket and would recommend going for motherbored (socket 2011) (X79) chipset and 6 core i7. Or buy the quad core & upgrade later. Im doing this as my SSDs (2 x OCZ 3 in raid) cannot perform anywhere near it speed with the sata 11 3G/bs so new one (6G/bs) will get me read of about 1G/bs and write of 900G/bs +) But only if you can affored it. Im still running games on my 275 GTX.. work a treat on battlefeild 3. Thou might upgrade next year but problem with graphic cards they come out expensive and lose value quickly cos a new modal is just round the corner.

For what its worth my 1 year old £400 medion quad core desktop plays skyrim fine for me. I have not installed the HD graphics as that would be pushing it too far(hd6450).
I frankly would rather have a saving on the machine, that I can then blow on more games.
Would imagine witcher 2 is similiar.1st one was a cracking game have fun.
