Hi
One of my first posts and not very clued up on financial jargo so please don't blind me with science with your replies lol:)
I realised I was paying a service charge on my account for llittlewoods and never really understood what it was for, thought it was some insurance for buy now pay later..anyway I rang to cancel it as I read information on their site that it would not pay for exsisiting medical conditions.
Anyway rang to cancel and put in a complaint that I thought they had missold this as I have had my medical condition for the past 20 odd years, and only in the past 9 years returned to work. A representative then rang me and went through everything..I was sold this over the phone and as far as I am aware i never received any documentation, I was not working at the time due to illness.
Anyway: Got a letter today saying they reject my claim as I would have had 14 days after receiving insurance documentation to cancel it and it basically its my fault. I really don't remember any insurance doscuments.. also they finished off by saying as my claim goes back as far as 1998, the FOS may not be able to addjudicate as they were not a member of a Dispute Resolution Service until December 2003.
Can anyone please help me and advise what I should so?
