I purchased a 32" TWF lcd tv with built-in freeview from Sainsburys at Christmas. The tv is fine and we are very happy with it.
Today, my daughter noticed that the 2 had dropped out of the remote.
I telephoned Sainsburys this morning and CS later phoned back to say they were completely out of stock of this tv, and I could return it for a full refund. I don't want to do this.
I have just been back on the phone to Sainsburys who advise me they cannot get hold of the manufacturer until November. Words fail me.
Does anyone out there know how to get hold of TWF or whoever they are, please.
All I want is a replacement handset.

Call Sainsbury's again tomorrow. The person who you spoke to earlier may not have known much - you may get lucky second time around. Ask them what do they expect you to do with a non-functioning remote. Try to get them to reimburse you for a replacement/universal remote. If they mention 'getting hold of the manufacturer in November' again, ask them how can you be expected to wait till then!
All I could find was...."TWF is a rebadged DMtech", from click here.
You may find a replacement remote at eBay, see these (contact the seller for compatibility prior to buying):

You may be able to get a replacement from ChsInteractive, PartMaster, RemoteByPost or similar. If they don't have what you're looking for they may be able to source it for you, so contact them in such an eventuality.
As a last resort, consider a universal remote control - it could turn out the cheapest option. Good luck

P.S. I see you've also posted this at the AVForums.0 -
Goofycat, thank you very much for trying to help.
I have a feeling a universal remote may not work, as the tv has built-in freeview.
I am awaiting a call tomorrow from Sainsburys and will see what they have to say.
I spoke with a very helpful lady in the CEO's office, who spoke to the buyer, who found me a remote, which should be in the post.0
