INSURANCE FOR CAMERA EQUIPMENT - question

hi all.
im just about to get some new camera equipment, worth around 2300, plus lenses etc worth about another 1000-1500.
im just wondering does anyone know of any insurers that cater specifically for this? or could i just tell my home insurer about these special items?
the photo gear is for amatuer use and not professional / business.

There is stand alone camera insurance like photoguard which you can get without having to add on PL or other professional type coverages but for me it has always been cheaper to simply include it on my home insurance. In fact some quotes for camera cover I've had in the past were more than my complete contents insurance cover.0
