    Cough! How Much?

Didn't an earlier version of these burst into flame or overheat? Appologies if I'm wrong.

 these things seem double dear to for a set of tongs, worth about a tenner on a good day but no more.
Is this still a money saving site?

Seriously guys, these are the best straighteners around. Sorry, i'm saying guys as i'm presuming its all men that have responded so far.
Trust me, your woman would love a set.
You can opt for cheaper sets, but in the long run you'll wish you hadn't.
I have had cheaper sets in the past, you think they are great to start with, they last about a year, then die. You then get a set of GHD's and wonder how you survived in the past without them.

Well thats my opinion, if you wanted to make your girlfriend/wife's year, then this is the gift for them.:D

my missis got a pair of ghd's they lasted about a year then died

my sister also got a pair of ghd's they also lasted about a year and then died

and then they both went and got another one each

    WOMEN!!!!!!
  • Ordered mine. Thanks for the pointer, pricey striaghteners but worth it and the extra 20% off makes them much cheaper then elsewhere. The last discount code in the discount voucher and codes thread is still working.

Tell that to the people who had their homes burnt to a crisp.

Honestly, vanity really can skew your perception of need and value. :D

My daughter got these a few weeks back and they are good she has got the pink ones as well. When you get them you will have a passport number inside the box make sure you register them and ghd will send you f.o.c. a full size thermal spray worth £9.95.
I would`nt be without mine worth every penny and ghd customer service is excellent.

i wanted them but my boyfriend bought me some pink babylis (sp?) ones. Some of it went to the breast cancer charity and they were about £70 i think. They work wonderes on my hair, think i'll wait a good year before thinking of getting ghd's (as i was going to buy them anyway)
  • I have to agree, these are amazing straighteners, my hair is stupidly curly and frizzy and i used to spend hundreds of pounds on products to attempt to straighten it (which never ever worked). So this would be a money saver for me...

Also if your GHD's do explode and you send them back GHD send you a new pair. I know at least three people who this has worked for. GHD have brilliant customer service (and no - i don't work for them). The watchdog story did mention this...
