Aqua PPI

Hi all, I'm currently trying to pay off my Aqua credit card and after several phone calls from Aqua staff using bullying tactics, I decided enough is enough. I sent a letter off for a SAR which I received last week and have decided to reclaim charges and try to reclaim PPI.

The application was, I beleive made online & then the forms filled out and posted back to them. I have looked at my application and noticed that the PPI box is ticked. My question is this, I had, at the time a good salary package which would have covered me for sickness (I worked for my father-in-law) and I'm sure there was no mention that I could get PPI, if I needed it elswhere. Is this good enough grounds to reclaim?

Any advice appreciated.

That would suggest you had an opportunity to check it was correct before you submitted it and did not make any corrections.

I am not sure that this follows. If you worked for one person, I would question how long they could "carry" you if you fell ill or there was no work to do - even if blood is thicker than water.

In any case, if you applied on line, you conversed with a computer, not Chris Tarrant. It was not going to ask if it was your final answer of if you wanted to phone a friend or ask the audience (though I suppose tick the box or don't tick it is 50:50).

So what? By that logic you could argue that the card itself was missold because they didn't tell you that you could get cards elsewhere.

Not from what you have posted.
    Any advice appreciated.
Other, more "outlandish" web forums are available - but it does not mean they are right.

Thanks for the replys. Magpiecottage, the point I was trying to make was that I did not need the PPI. You are right, I should have checked the application form more carefully, chalk that down to experience.
