P0401 Insufficient EGR Flow - Peugeot 206 1.1 2003

Hi All,

I have had this fault code come up on my reader and I have heard about cleaning the EGR valve out but I cannot seem to find anything on the internet in order to locate this.

Can someone please provide a photograph with it highlighted or explain to me where it is on the TU engine on a 206.

Thanks:beer:

Invest in a manual, It will pay for itself many times over.

EGR's on petrol cars dont get that dirty. Possibly faulty.

Is it vacuum controlled? Air leak?

  • I dont have a clue, i just bought a £20 fault code reader from ebay and it come up with this code. I have used it before and its been right on the injector codes i had before so i know its reliable.

How can i find out if its vaccum controlled or an air leak, i dont even know where it is or looks like when the bonnet is open.

I changed the coilpack once when it needed doing from a dodgy Sagem one to a Bujicord which was recommended for this engine.

    Thanks for your reply :-)

EGR will be linked to the inlet and exhaust system. Seriously think about getting a manual.

Usually cheapest on Amazon. Sometimes new ones are cheaper than 2nd hand ones on ebay.

make a blanking plate, remove it block off hole. then comes the EGR fault code becuase its removed, some people have bough a 20p PCB board resistor and linked it to the connector plug to read a curcuit wich stopped the codecoming up.
