With care, Venice is no more expensive for eating ou than anywhere else - we had an excellent lunch time 2 course set menu at Al Faro in the Jewish Ghetto area, last year for 13 Euros - excellent house wine was £5 euros half a litre. This is a good looking Pizzaria too - same price as rest of Italy. Look at the Venice Forum on Trip Advisor. Have you got accommodation - I can recommend a B&B.

Just avoid the places near Rialto and places that try to seat you or call you in. Try the local wine bars - 2.5 euros glass of prosecco, 1 euro house wine, 1 - 2 euros for snacks.

    Any questions please ask.
